2. MESQUITE ROLLING PLAINS REGION

Brazos River access at US 180: Palo Pinto County

I have not personally checked this site out for odes but have stopped in the past for herps.  Public access sites on rivers are sometimes difficult to find.  When you find one check it out.

Copper Breaks State Park: Hardeman County

The park features rugged, scenic beauty with mixed grass/mesquite-covered mesas and juniper breaks. Lake Copper Lake has possible odeing areas on the back end of the lake and below the dam.  I have no experience at this site. Hardeman County needs more work.

Dickens Springs: Dickens County

Dickens Springs is located just outside of Dickens.  Not very much flow from this spring.  OC has a few interesting records from this site.

Lake Throckmorton: Throckmorton County

The lake is located west of Throckmorton.  There is a small park on the northeast end of the lake.  I was there in late August of 2018 trying to increase the number of odes for the county.  Not really anything unusual but with more work one could come up with more county records.

Lake Woodson: Throckmorton County

The lake is located west of Woodson with one road leading down to boat ramp and a small park.  I was there in late August of 2018 trying to increase the number of odes for the county. Not really anything unusual but with more work one could come up with more county records.
